ABOUT MR ENYI OFO

Mr Ofo is a Consultant Ear Nose Throat (ENT) Surgeon with specialist expertise in Head & Neck, Thyroid, Parathyroid, and Robotic Surgery. He treats adult and paediatric patients with general ENT conditions, and due to his extensive training in head & neck surgery, is also an expert surgeon in treating patients with head and neck cancer, salivary gland disease, voice & swallowing disorders, thyroid lumps, and enlarged parathyroid glands.

 

He has carried out over 7000 surgical procedures to date, and is also a high-volume thyroid and parathyroid surgeon, performing over 120 thyroid and parathyroid operations each year.

Mr Ofo grew up in South London, and obtained his medical degree from University College London (UCL). He graduated in 2000, having won several undergraduate prizes, including best overall intercalated Neuroscience BSc student and best BSc project.

Mr Ofo went on to attain higher surgical training in ENT-Head and Neck Surgery whilst on the prestigious South London ENT registrar rotation, during which he spent time at some of London's internationally renowned medical institutions including Guy's & St Thomas’ Hospital, and Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. He was also able to undertake PhD research at Kings College London, supported by over £350,000 of competitive funding. His research has been presented at national and international medical conferences, and resulted in several journal publications.

Mr Ofo also gained further head and neck surgery experience during two internationally recognised fellowships at: Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital London, and the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia. Whilst in Australia, Mr Ofo was one of the first head and neck surgeons from the United Kingdom to receive 12 months of dedicated robotic surgery fellowship training, and subsequently led the surgical team at St George’s Hospital London to perform their first robotic head and neck cancer operation in April 2015.

Mr Ofo’s NHS practice is based at St George’s University Hospital and Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trusts. He is currently the lead clinician for the Combined St George’s and Royal Marsden Hospital Head and Neck Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at St George’s University of London Medical School.

 

Mr Ofo regularly attends national and international ENT-Head & Neck conferences and courses as an invited speaker to share his knowledge and expertise in the field. He also uses these opportunities to keep his clinical knowledge and skills up to date.

Ms Kay Tokoro 

Practice Manager

Ms Kay Tokoro has worked with Mr Ofo since January 2017 as a practice manager, she is responsible for the running of all areas of the practice behind the scenes. Although Kay currently works part time, she retains a key role in ensuring the practice is managed in all aspects and is available to help with any questions.

 

An accomplished and experienced Clinical Pharmacist with over 20 years NHS experience, she has an extensive knowledge and experience of both the NHS and private healthcare  setting. Kay is married and a passionate mother to three children.
